Wow, it took me forever to find this freaking phone number! I figure other people are probably looking for it too, so here you go: 1-866-2-GOOGLE is the phone number for Google’s adwords support.
WOW. Now THIS is an interview. It’s almost like Wallace – what’s the word? – prepared? Yes – it’s as if he prepared for this interview, and it really doesn’t disappoint. Okay, there’s the one exchange where Wallace is begging Rand to agree with his point, but for the most part, this is INTENSE. Rand is amazingly intense, and it comes through loud and clear. This sequence is really a joy to watch.
RTFA presents, for your enjoyment, parts 1, 2, and 3.
In this engaging 1959 interview, her first on television, Ayn Rand capsulizes her philosophy for CBS’s Mike Wallace. The discussion ranges from the nature of morality to the economic and historical distortions disseminated about the “robber barons.” She also comments on her relationship with Frank O’Connor, provides some autobiographical information and gives her perspective on the future of America.
Wow. The problem is that this guy wants the Verizon people to recognize where their calculation is wrong, and he keeps setting them up to “get it” but they just don’t… time after time after time. It’s really hilarious, just as much as it is painful. I know this sort of situation all too well, but it’s actually useful to me to hear this process, because I can see several instances where this could have ended. Oh, the pain…
The best exchange:
“Do you recognize that one dollar is different than one cent?”
“Definitely”
“Do you recognize that half a dollar is different than half a cent?”
“Definitely”
“Do you therefore recognize that .002 dollars is different than .002 cents?”
“No.”
Wow – this interview is supremely weird. Here’s a before-and-after of Joaquin on Letterman:
I suppose there’s nothing worse than speculating about “celebrity” behavior, but simply by virtue of the fact that lots of people have seen the same clip, here we go… speculating, speculating, speculating… I can’t do it! I can’t bring myself to speculate! Just watch the clip…
From Security Cameras at a NY Pier showing multiple Shots of US Airways 1549 Landing in the Hudson River
WOW – this is remarkable footage of US Airways 1549, captured from multiple angles. From watching the video, it’s clear that the airplane comes in FAST, and that it loses speed very rapidly once it hits the water. It’s really amazing that this worked out so well, but there’s no mistaking it.
